About
Emily Johnson currently tackles both print and digital design for Chicago magazine. She recently redesigned and relaunched Chicagomag.com. She also hosts and produces the magazine’s cooking video series, In The Kitchen as well as In The Kitchen, Live!, a monthly virtual cooking event. Previously, Johnson worked at publications that covered the worlds of music (as Art Director for Billboard in New York City) and entertainment (for The Hollywood Reporter in Los Angeles). Prior to her work in publications, Johnson designed album packaging for both Shout! Factory and Capitol Records. In her free time, Emily enjoys vinyl (records, not the polymer), vacations (both domestic and international), and victories (especially ones achieved by teams from her home state of Wisconsin).
